Agenda C was engaged by Restaurants and Catering Australia to launch their Industry Benchmark Report to bring awareness to the challenges and impacts the industry experienced. R&CA were seeking to invigorate their role and demonstrate their value to stakeholders and policy makers.
Using the findings of the Benchmarking Report, which reflected the on-the-ground experience of restaurateurs and caterers, we wanted to reveal the real stories behind the business of hospitality. Redirecting public anger about the industry meant highlighting the costs of food delivery apps, showing the sacrifices of small business owners for their staff and giving R&CA a way to advocate for customer behaviour change, to start dining in!
Agenda C secured 13 dedicated news stories about the Benchmarking Report with commentary from the R&CA CEO, including a nightly news TV package on Channel 7, radio interviews on major metro stations like ABC and 2GB, newspaper and digital news stories in major metro outlets including the Daily Telegraph and industry leaders like Good Food. The campaign launched the R&CA’s CEO as an active spokesperson for the industry and cemented the R&CA as a leading advocate in hospitality.
