Every year on September 25, the Australian community (and the world) say thank you to community pharmacists to recognise the importance of their role in looking after our health and celebrate our appreciation for their hard work.
In 2022, their achievements were demonstrated throughout the Covid-19 pandemic on the frontline by administering nine million vaccines and providing professional health advice and services to free up space in GP clinics and emergency departments.

Agenda C partnered with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia to develop digital creative content, toolkits and a social media campaign to raise awareness of World Pharmacists Day and the significant contribution of community pharmacists to Australia.
The HERO video of the campaign featured the Prime Minister, the Guild National President, Premiers from all states and the World Pharmacy Council President. The video highlighted the national and international support of key leaders to increase awareness and encourage engagement from the Australian community to celebrate our community pharmacists on social media.
This was supported by a digital campaign, rolling out a suite of assets that included a gif, infographic, banners and static tiles to celebrate the contribution of community pharmacists to their local communities. Additionally, MP’s and community pharmacies across the nation received a toolkit that included these assets. The suite of assets reached over 1.2 million Australians (excluding Twitter content) over a total of 8 ads.
This all dovetailed to celebrate community pharmacies across the nation and highlight the multiple services that pharmacists offer on top of dispensing and providing advice for medication and to encourage Australians to ‘Ask your pharmacist’. Some key services that pharmacists provide on top of dispensing medicines highlighted in the campaign were the distribution of Rapid Antigen Tests, asthma management and blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing and medication reviews.
Culminating in a boost in awareness of World Pharmacists Day and the key role pharmacists play in keeping Australian communities healthy. Fortifying that millions of Australians choose their pharmacy first for their healthcare needs.
