Prime Minister Anthony Albanese introduced legislation on 6 September 2022 to lower the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) general co-payment.
The legislation, when passed, will cut the maximum PBS co-payment from $42.50 to $30 per prescription, delivering on the Government’s election commitment. The cut will help 19 million Australians by making medicines more affordable.
This was a great day for patients around Australia who have been struggling to afford essential medicine.
Agenda C is proud to have contributed strategy, insights, stakeholder engagement, and media outreach to the team effort to lower the co-payment.
